About us
Formerly known as John Green, we’ve grown steadily over the past few years with a close-knit team of talented, passionate individuals who care deeply about great design and thoughtful craftsmanship. As our work evolved, so did we and with that growth came a natural decision to rebrand as Honest.
Honest isn't just our name it’s our ethos. It guides every decision we make, from the materials we choose to the relationships we build and the products we create. We believe in simple, well-made design that speaks clearly and stands the test of time.
We design and produce furniture & lifestyle products which can be found in private residences and commercial spaces world wide, always with a focus on quality, utility, and timeless appeal. Whether it's a piece for the home or a statement in a shared space, we aim to create objects that feel personal, purposeful, and enduring.

Our Process
We design, we prototype, we develop; and when it’s right we collaborate with expert manufacturers to batch produce our furniture, only partnering with like-minded people who share our design values and sustainable ethos.
Our attention to detail forms an integral part of the design process. Working prototypes crafted in our studio workshop mean we can test, deconstruct and refine. This increases the efficiency of the design and manufacturing process, and keeps the environmental impact of product development to a minimum.
Our Studio
Our small but perfectly formed studio is based in central York, UK and is home to our workshop and design space. We take a hands on approach to design, always developing ideas through material exploration and working prototypes.
As well as making bespoke components for the honest collection we also use our workshop for bespoke commissions that we feel relevant to us and to keep things interesting…
